Von Schropp Design

Susanne Schropp is an Austrian-born and trained graphic designer with over 26 years of experience.

After moving to the U.S. in 1986, she studied “Design and Personality” at the School of Visual Arts with design master Milton Glaser, known for the famous I ❤️ N.Y. logo.

She is the founder of Von Schropp, a branding-driven web and graphic design catering to high-end and luxury clientele. Before launching the firm, she led the New York design studio Diva Design, Inc. for 24 years and worked for companies including HarperCollins Publishing, Macy’s, Sotheby’s, Sports Illustrated, and Union Square Press. Susanne has designed for clients including IBM, Omega Watch, Swiss Air, and Swatch Watch.

Little-known facts

She participated in an MIT crowdsourced science project. Along with over 80,000 people from 130 countries, she mapped the 3D structure of connections between retinal neurons.

Her hometown is the headquarters of Porsche Design.

What keeps her going

The key to her success is maintaining flexibility when life presents challenges and a continued focus on the silver lining. Her philosophy: “When in deep water, become a diver.”

In her years in the industry, she has led her teams and been the recipient of numerous American Graphic Design Awards (2019-2017, 2015, 2011-2007, 1998-1997) and the American Web Design Awards (2019-2016, 2013-2010)
